Deconstruction preserves our cultural heritage because materials are reused and helps the environment because less debris is tossed. It also creates jobs by putting locals to work dismantling and marketing the salvaged materials.

We know deconstruction works. Over the past decade, communities across the country have established successful deconstruction programs.

Deconstruction could work in New Orleans, too.

The environmental benefits of deconstruction are obvious and resonant.

The major objection raised about deconstruction is that It’s true not. but deconstruction saves that void.

In fact, recent deconstruction ange r s well fed actors.

Of course, deconstruction does more bor e, but that’s one of its main benefits: it creates long-term, skilled jobs. Establishing a large-scale deconstruction industry to handle the enormous demand would be a potent economic development tool for desperate innovative a sses.

One potential success is emerging. The anal Trust for stoic reservation, along with organizations like the evation Resource Center, project deconstruction historically significant, so damage can be saved. This is a laudable first step.
