Canon Vietnam is expected to earn approximately US $700 million from exports of its jet and laser printers by the end of this year.
With its laser printer factory operational in April this year, Canon Vietnam is to become the biggest exporter among foreign-invested companies in Vietnam in 2006.
Canon Vietnam's products are now exported to most countries worldwide, meeting 35% of the world market demand for laser printers..
Canon has two factories in Vietnam, a jet printer factory in Hanoi's Thang Long Industrial Zone and a laser printer factory in Bac Ninh province's Que Vo Industrial Zone, the largest in the world which produces 16 million units a year.
Another Canon jet printer factory is under construction in Tien Son Industrial Zone, also in the Bac Ninh province. The construction started in May and is expected to be completed in February 2007. The factory will be capable of producing 8.4 million units per year. (VNA)
