James:

Your 'Chinese and Indians' are just a rhetorical trope to dismiss the problems Britons face as 'disgruntlement'. But as things stand - and I appreciate this has not always been the case - there are no plans to colonise China or India to absorb the London overspill. If you think that there is a land shortage question in China or India to be addressed, you do the math.

[WS:] So I reckon all you want is more affordable housing for a few million Brits. That is fine, but thousands of developers have already been working on it. They did their math, they have their graphs and charts, and PR pamphlets with pretty pictures. I know how to find it, and I do not need to regurgitate the same old stuff wrapped in pseudo-socialist or futuristic mumbo jumbo. I'd rather talk about the bigger picture - the impact on transportation, environment, society, quality of life etc. which you (and the developers) stubbornly evade.
