Applying the word "genocide" in this case, is just far removed from reality, just as it was in the former Yugoslavia and in the Russian counter-insurgency against Chechnya. If Israel wanted to commit genocide, I'm sure they have the technology at their disposal to accomplish it in a more efficient manner. Withdrawing form the Gaza strip, for example, does not exactly strike me as the most effective way of pursuing genocidal aims.
