Wow!

"Scorpio Rising" !!!

I first saw it when I was 20 in 1970 at a film rental screening room on 57th street in NYC. A stunning piece of film. I was with a group of radical Christians who ran an ecumenical church camp for youth in New Hampshire. We rented a copy in 16mm and showed it...along with "Bambi Meets Godzilla," and "Z". The powers that be were not amused.

<<SNIP>>

FOR NEW YORKERS:

On October 7th at 8:15 pm at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center, there will be a screening of 4 films by Kenneth Anger preserved in new 35 mm prints under Anger's supervision. One of the films is the sublime SCORPIO RISING. It is a screening that should not be missed by anyone who cares about film as an art form. <SNIP>>
