I'm not sure what it signifies, but it seems strange to see Germans now mining WWII for laughs. There was an interesting photo spread in Der Spiegel earlier this year of what I assume was the first "Nazi rally" to be staged in Berlin since the war; it was for what the magazine said was "Germany's first movie parody of Hitler." I wonder if this production, ""Mein Führer - The Truly Truest Truth About Adolf Hitler," was as much a witless WWII chucklefest as US television's "Hogan's Heroes" or the UK's "'Allo, 'Allo!"
