One of the leaders of the Wellstone Democratic Club is Tim Wohlforth, ex-Workers League leader and SWP'er (the Mage 'bros' here should have some stories about Tim...he is an engaging conversationalist), for quite some time now in DSA in the East Bay, which has monthly meetings at the Niebyl-Proctor Marxist library on Telegraph Ave. near the women's bookstore. John Katz goes back to NAM before the NAM/DSOC merger to create DSA, and Mark Mericle was also in NAM. (John talked with Kevin Phillips once after a speech he gave at a transportation planners conference and said that John Judis had influenced him and that he defined himself as a, "neo-marxist of the Right.") Conn Hallinan, a Provost at UCSC is either still CPUSA or CCDS. One of the other Hallinan bros', the quiet one compared to Terrance is in DSA as well.
