There hasn't been any such outburst. Do you see the list obediently discussing only the alternatives offered by Q & P? And do you argue that either/or discussions are _never_ appropriate? And if you answer No, then you have to admit that it is useful for someone in each discussion to introduce an either/or, otherwise that would never even be a possible alternative.
