That's among the more ridiculous rebuttals I've ever encountered. Do you mean to suggest that we should allow these scenarios to play out, lest interference result in inadvertant harm to someone else? Or perhaps that we should simply wait for the professionals to arrive, and hope that their superior marksmanship will outweigh whatever happens in the meantime?
