Becoming famous does strange things to you, so people react to this
development in different ways.
Doug also made the excellent point about politicians having big egos.
It's been pointed out before that you have to be an egomaniacal bastard
to want to be President of the United States.
In the case of Nader, we don't know how much of his presidential run
involved his ego and how much involved an honest interest to raise
issues using the forum of presidential campaigns. I tend to think that
Nader was mostly interested in raising issues.
