Well, maybe -- but what are the glaring differences now? IIRC it was Clinton who ended "welfare as we know it," and Clinton who gave us NAFTA. Not to mention the Effective Death Penalty Act -- if I'm remembering that Orwellian phrase accurately.

I feel sure I must not be taking your point -- are we talking past each other?
