Hmm, the timing and heavily shrouded nature of this announcement might seem 
to suggest Max is going to be part of the brain trust, taxation division, 
for some higher-office candidate.

I note from Max's statement that the possibility he will be posting 
*anywhere* listserv-wise does seem remote, viz.:  "I will not be posting 
anonymously, so don't bother looking for that either."  However, I'm going 
to keep my eyes peeled to see if LBO posts start turning up from, say, 
"Rufus T. Firefly."
