On 11-15-07 Shane T. shared this, about Daily Show writers striking:

I've been keeping up with it offlist and on other blogs/forums, but, yeah not discussing it much here. Obviously I support the writers 100%. And you're right, it's been fun to see favorite writers, comedians, etc., suddenly start speaking in the language of class war. Like Mike Nelson, head writer of MST3k/Rifftrax/The Film Crew: "The necessity of having some pesky man who has to actually create the thing that you do is really a thorn in the side of producers. They loathe paying writers." That's a simple, basic statement, but it reminds me of some of the first, basic socialist lit. I ever read, about bosses' resentment towards the workers on whom they depend. "If only we didn't rely on these pesky people with all their pesky needs!"
