I was going to suggest the same.

Miles, I think the suggestion is that sexual pleasure translates to stimulus of sensory thingummies (organs, receptors, nerves, whatever) and hence more the sensory stimulation higher the sexual pleasure. And sensory stimulation (and capacity for it) is a measurable/quantifiable thing. All very reductionist, of course, and potentially wrong. But again, that's not the objection raised!
