Not: they hate us because we are free, but: they hate us because we aren't repressive and reactionary _enough_. We should institute a Falwellian theocracy, then we can be friends with Wahaabist Islam. I mean, just like in 1095-1291. (Though in those days "Islamism" meant civilization and tolerance, so the analogy is imperfect.)
Doug, invite "Dineshy" onto your show and ask him, How come they don't hate the Canadians, much less the Dutch and Scandanavians, who are way more leftist and licentious than we are.
Also you can ask him however reactionary we get, how we can be pals with the Islamists if we establish fundamentalist Christinaity and state policy and remain cozy with the Israeli right and continue to fund Israel at $10 billion a year or whatever it is.
