I say, "not silly," you read "grimly serious." Do we have a disconnect here? Or does "not silly" mean something different in British English from what it does in American English. Sure, all sex is farcical, the stuff of a P.G. Wodehouse novel. AT the same time that tends to be from the third person point of view, though less from the first person point of view. However, if you are talking about marginalization, discrimination, oppression, or, as in the present case, accusations of abuse, violence, coercion, torture, sexism, and the like. Then it seems to me to reduce the element of ludicrousness and farcicality. Maybe it's different in your world. In that case, I don't care top inhabit your world. Sorry if I seem to lack a sense of humor -- that's a standard charge against people who talk about sex and sexual bigotry as if it mattered.

"Your sexual practices are symptoms of mental illness, politically reactionary, patriarchally oppressive, violent, cruel, and oppressive, as well as morally wicked. Hah ha just joking. Though of course we mean it. What's a matter, don't you understand that this is all in good fun? Sex isn't serious stuff anyway"

I don't get the joke, myself.
