Will you guys stop screwing with me!!! ;-) Carrol, I didn't say I want it marked up (have you missed the 100 odd messages from me pleading for plain text, in the past?). I said that adding HTML tags does not mark up the text up necessarily in a reader. I assume someone would add HTML tags in the hope of their being rendered. Little did I realise that Yoshie actually considers HTML human readable markup! Yoshie, my point is not that the <blockquote> causes mischief, but that it doesn't accomplish anything. For a layperson, it doesn't serve visually to demarcate the quoted text and further confuses him/her since its some sort of terse technical gobbledygook [sp?] in the midst of a message. Of course that's just my opinion. If you agree that:

==== begin quoted text ================== quoted text ==== end quoted =========================

is more readable than:

<blockquote>quoted text</blockquote>

then yes, please do oblige me by switching to the former or any of the other recommended formats. If not, it's not, as they say in these here USA, "a biggie".
