They may be taking this one one too many times to the trough.

Let's face it, the primal terror that Americans face every day is that of getting sick and a) dying b) receiving improper care or c) going bankrupt...or all of that together. And you can't really control that. I mean, if you get into a car accident and wake up in the hospital a few hundred thousand dollars later, you're done. Finished.

Now compared to that, the theoretical possibility that some terrorist somewhere will do something and that socialized medicine will make that possible, is almost nil.

So. You know. Pulling out the terror card this early might show nothing other than their desperation.
