Why is it that American leftists excuse Castro's abuse of power with this pathetic argument about the United States. Why can't the so-called "successful" revolution change its leaders on a regular basis?

My alternative is based on what anarchists say about this situation. The people of Cuba should be given the right to self-determination, free of imperialist meddling or "successful" revolutions. This may not lead to anarchism and probably wouldn't anytime soon, but being given more political freedom and self-determination would probably be a good thing for Cubans.

The same goes for most people around the world.

I'm an anarchist, so that should explain the rough outlines of my vision for a better world. I'd also point to my practice as an anarchist activist, which also speaks to what I'd like to see.

If you want me to detail my vision on this list, I'm sorry, but I can't oblige. I've got some writing to get to today.
