What I said. A revolutionary regime (not just "the leaders") must maintain popular support during the very difficult early days. For future reference: it's _best_ if this does not incorporate retribution. I don't know much about Trotsky, but I read somewhere that he claimed that in a u.s. revolution the socialist regime would be safe enough so that it could exile all the big capitalists to a luxury resort island. Retribution is _so_ backward looking. A bore.
