[Michael Perelman]

I took a scientific poll about military recruiting yesterday.  I asked one of the 
young basketball players who recently completed an abbreviated tour with the Marines 
about his fellow recruits.  He didn't know of any upper-class or even 
upper-middle-class recruits.  Most were from small rural towns and were not 
well-to-do.
