I think this discussion is mainly semantic and
preaching to the choir.  I sincerely doubt that anyone
on this list opposes unrestricted access to
reproductive health care, including abortion, the
choice of wording notwithstanding.

The real issue, IMHO, is what the "moving toward the
center" on abortion means politically.  I am afraid it
is a bad news, because it will make easier to pass
legislation that restricts abortion in some cases. 
This is precisely the tactic that prolifers have been
using lately, chippinng it off bit by bit, instead of
launching a frontal assault.
