[WS:] You make a lot assumptios here, which are not necessarily true. For example, that the war is a single "master issue" for most people. Or that centrists/liberals would want to form a common front with lefties. Or that the lefties are interested in real world politics as opposed to grandstanding and bullshitting.

To elaborate on the latter - not a single post to this list commented on the House vote to establish a deadline for the Iraq pullot. Not a single post about the seizure of 15 British sailors and marines by Iran, which can lead to a major escalation of the conflict.

It would be very helpful to understand how people actually think and conceptualize politcial issues, instead of making sweeping condemnations of their bigotry or lack of ideological purity.
