Ahhh. Nothing like intruding on some great convos to ask an Ellie Mae question. I have an interview for a technology product mgr position. They're flying me in, limo at the airport (woo! my first time!), straight to the swankest motel in town. Kewl beans. The next day, limo to the company. I have a battery of people to meet with, the people with whom I'd be working. My direct supervisor and her manager. Right on up through VP of the department. At some point, I'm supposed to give a presentation about their web site, nothing special. I gather they want to know my presentation skills. (This is a massive e-commerce site, btw. Offlist as to what company.) After all that, I wrap up with half hour with HR. I then go to HR to do paperwork.

Why do I go to HR to do paperwork? (side question)

Then, I'm off, I guess, to the airport, where I have a three hours 'til my flight leaves.

What do I do with my suitcase? Leave it at the hotel, have the driver swing by so I can get it? Will a place like a swank hotel keep it for me while I am at the interview so I can check out or do I just assume that they're picking up two days of my stay. The itineray is just for one night. Or maybe check out is late enough for an outfit like that it won't matter? Dunno.

Damn, right now, I need that guy in Pretty Woman, the hotel front desk guy, to take me under his wing. *snort*

Anyway, other option is to bring it to the interview. Ouch. It's not exactly a designer suitcase. I won't want to crawl into a hole in the ground b/c it won't be the 1960s samsonite inherited from my grandma that I used to use. *grin* But, it's not exactly as swank as this lovely briefcase I have that, sho'nuf as the gift giver said, does make me feel quite swank and deserving of a big salary! :)

Other reason I ask is that I want to avoid having to wrangle around both handbag *and* briefcase. So I was hoping to leave pocketbook in hotel.

Ack! Help from those on the list who've been there, done that on big interviews. Help!
