At a lecture of his (downloaded from Son of Shun), I recall he
mentioned he was a "communist," and joked about how only one other
person present knew the term "superstructure." Mentioned he didn't
care for nation-states.

I expect communism doesn't imply marxism, but superstructure sounds
like a term marxists use...
