My knee-jerk response is that what we got was even worse: permanent
war and a police state. Not sure what, if anything, this implies. I suppose
Rudy could give us a flat tax etc. in addition to the police state -- but
wouldn't that be, comparatively speaking, a fleabite?
NB: I don't wish to deprive the Democrats of any credit they're due. Bush
built on foundations lovingly laid by Harlem Bill Clinton.
