I very quickly read today Kraus' missive. I was at one time an  economist and investment banker. Kraus is well worth the read. He often  goes over the top, loves to hear his own voice and read his own words,  but he does get to the heart of matters. And he "gets Russia right"  better than most (esp if you want to make money). .
