When I asked about Cool It a few weeks ago I got lots of opinions about it from lots of people who seemingly hadn't read it - they referred to it a denialist. It all surprised me, since I thought that LBO was a perfect place to solicit analysis of the economic arguments (the book claimed to focus on global warming from an economics point of view).

Perhaps pen-l would have been a better choice, but MP replied here, and seemed to be dismissive not only of the authors, but also the bulk of conventional economists participating in a conference he had attended who endorsed the economic arguments of the book.

Maybe I expect too much. martin
