Not really. Triangulation was originally about taking a third position, different from D and R Congressional delegations. What bone did her husband throw the primary voters in '92? He was all about distancing himself from the old New Deal/Great Society liberal wing of the party in favor of a new centrism. This time, Hillary feels like she has to do something to please the left in the party. She'd obviously govern as a loyal zionist, but it does suggest that the left has gained, and the right has lost, a little power and credibility over the last 15 years.
