The painful attempts to show how bad Iran is are mostly made up of miscellaneously selected empirical snapshots.

The attempts to show that Europe is so good are mostly made up of miscellaneously selected empirical snapshots (e.g., health care vs u.s. health care).

Both tend to avoid or merely acknowledge in passing the relationships linking the two areas to the the total human activity of 6+billio around the world.

But if one draws back from those snapshots & sees Iran & Europe _in the world_, then Iran appears _at worst_ neutral and in many ways _Part_ to the hope for humanity, while Europe is certainly a major part of the threat to the very survival of the human species, any difference from the u.s. lying merely in the current balance of military power.
