Back during the 1992 pres campaign, when A. Cockburn was supporting J. Brown and his crazy flat-tax scheme, Cockburn was on NPR with Milton Friedman. After hearing Ace's claim that "a flat tax can be progressive," Friedman said that while he's grateful for support wherever he can get it, he prefers that people understand what they're supporting.
