can i just say something about proposed universal health care. i know everyone is so excited, as they should be, about trying to get everyone insured...but there is a point no one seems to ever bring up. when you allow the government to become the health care provider, you create a situation (like iraq, katrina, etc.) where the government will be giving no-bid contracts to pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies. the government will be able to withhold insurance from those who dont comply with their mandates such as vaccinations like HPV, MMR, Hep, etc. which have been proven to dramatically increase the risks of autism, epilepsy, etc. I dont have any faith in the government and do not want to give them power over my body the way they do over my finances. Im not saying its not good to try to insure everyone, especially low-income children, but just remember this is going to cause many more problems. If you dont think theyll be able to carry out eugenics (sterilization, mandatory birth control, etc.) you're kidding yourself - look at how many states had mandatory sterilization for "undesirables" in the early part of the 20th centruy
