No, the other thing. Because I didn't cut that trope, it's still right there above. I agree that it's dumb to think that the second amendment is obsolete because shotguns are no match for gunships. It doesn't take much intelligence to see that there is a large difference between said shotgun, a slingshot, a 50 BMG, and a stinger missile but it takes a certain amount of honesty to admit that the second amendment sees no difference between them.

If the point is not defense against ruffians with and with out color of authority, with the same sorts of weapons they have, then what is the point?
