Which, in the Weather docu, Ayers laughs off, as if Hampton didn't really get what the Days of Rage were about. How could he? Hampton only lived under police state violence before he was murdered by it. If only he could have seen it from a privileged white perspective.

Also in that same film, Ayers recounts the Days of Rage while carrying a baseball bat. Now, this was only six years ago, so if Ayers, as Doug suggests, knows he was wrong, then it must have been a recent awakening. There's little remorse in that docu.

All that said, Pollitt's rant is wildly misplaced, especially when discussing McCain's much greater violence which "most likely" killed civilians. Christ. Is it possible to put Nation fixtures out to pasture or in the old folks home? I think Katha's ready for the mashed banana phase of her career.
