John, you are absolutely right: the best, the most carefully considered critiques of Obama aren't at all fixated on the theorized effects of an imagined BHO presidency. Rather, they're focused on the effects his campaign is having, right now, on progressive politics.

CB : Not to worry about that either. Those inclined to vote for a progressive candidate aren't going to vote for Obama instead. All the people I know supporting Obama would have supported some other Democrat if Obama had not run. Why look at the progreessives on this list, a pretty good sample of progressives. They aren't getting caught up in Obamania.
