I just keep thinking people feel comfortable with the idea of a black president - as long as it's the right kind of black president - because it makes real life match television.

I've forgotten the name right now but there's a very interesting piece about how tv drama represents so many women and nonwhites in roles like judges, DAs and - oh yeah - politicians.
