McCain as the war candidate is the most likely to be able to end the war ( Carrol and I will explain if anyone wants), I'm considering endorsing McCain for Pres.

Please explain. I have my own idea about this that I have espoused to my friends and I'm very curious about someone else's take on this.

I haven't the slightest idea who is going to win -- but McCain _is_ the candidate most apt to pull out of Iraq. His warlike reputation provides cover for cutting and running.

CB: Yes, I agree on ending the war. Nixon/Ford ended Vietnam. Eisenhower ended Korea. You can name some Greek or Roman warrior who ended some war. Or a Conservative Britisher who did the same. It's a famous historical pattern.

You haven't the slightest idea who will win the election ? You know America better than that. The two Dems are a woman and a Black person. The Republicans are all white men. That ought to give you a slight idea who will win. Of course, there's a small possibility otherwise, but the Rep will probably win.

No recession,or a very mild one, and the Rep will win.
