Oh yeah. I've read the first 50 pages, and it's clear that that's who he had in mind. He's rather scathing about the delusions of the black elite of the immediate post-WW II decade; apparently they thought they had some actual wealth and power, and some got very annoyed with him for arguing otherwise.
