If HRC or John, 'we'll out of Iraq when the sun goes Nova' McCain were to say Blacks had almost reached parity with Whites I'm sure no one - except maybe DLC'ers, John Birchers and allied tradespeople - would declare this to be inspirational.
Certainly, in the LBO neighborhood there'd be almost total agreement bullshit had been dealt.
Yet for some reason, when uttered by BHO (who I'm now thinking of calling The Illusionist 'cause he's such a wizard), an untruth as big and funny smelling as the hydrocarbon seas of Titan is described as harmless, speech-irific special effects, not meant to be taken seriously. But wait! Maybe not such a twee thing after all; it's elevating and motivating!
There are at least a couple of different ways to interpret BHO's "Joshua generation" statement.
There's the Sir Hugs-a-lot, the Self Esteem Bear way (i.e., awwww, he just wants us to believe we can achieve - just like George Wash. Carver and Ronald Reagan).
And then there's the more accurate, WTF way: Know what that guy's really saying? He's saying that if we work a little harder, cross all the t's and dot all the i's, we'll all 'make it' across the 10 percent Rubicon - just like the eldritch Illusionist himself and other downtown brown luminaries such as famous shoe fetishist/war criminal C. Rice.
Where's racism? Clap! With a wave of my "racially ambiguous" arm (didn't someone actually talk up the "ambiguous" angle recently on list?) I rhetorically remove it from thy sight.
