Fascinating, the mindset of Israeli imperialism. Just as psychotic as the US version, with that odd mixture of hurrah patriotism, democratic rhetoric, combined with a complete erasure of history and lack of empathy for the colonized people -- local rationality and global irrationality.
An invasion would be suicidal. Hamas has genuine mass support in Gaza and would wage a ferocious guerilla war against the occupiers. And the massive civilian casualties would be more than just bad PR - Israel's economy is very vulnerable to an EU-based consumer boycott.
