Highly risky, if not suicidal. But doesn't the whole story seem a little far-fetched? One of the objectives given was the installation of a puppet government, which would not only be difficult, but probably pointless and maybe even contrary to Israeli interests. Resealing leaks that have sprung in the border seems more plausible, a bit of pillage and rounding up some select assassination targets for sure and they never let a chance go by to bulldoze some houses and essential infrastructure. But why would they want to fight for the responsibility of governing an ungovernable ghetto?
Sounds like a bit of bullshit, unless they have gone stark raving mad.
