I kinda thought that buying a Prius meant lifetime immunity from ever  
having to vote Democratic again, in a 'I did my part' sort of way.  
That's the meaning I'm carving out of it. So while I'm sure you know  
plenty of sanctimonious liberals, I think I bought a Prius because I  
needed an affordable car that got good mileage.

I'm pretty sure Ford built an entire campaign for their hybrid SUV  
around this 'phenomenon.'
