Well, it would if "race" became a meaningless category, in the sense that it wouldn't be conceptualized as "black [capital-B] people are disadvantaged," but as "poor people are disadvantaged, and lots of them have dark skin."
I am perfectly aware that this hypothetical society does not exist and is not a description of the United States!
