The things Chuck0 mentioned are also important: his
teeth, the fact he is a freshfaced white boy and does
not have the tanned skin or leathery, red-skinned look
of a homeless person. In fact, in his picture at CSM,
Adam Shepard looks like someone posing for a Calvin
Klein ad.

So, drop a fresh-faced 24 year old college graduate
whose lived with his parents his whole life, with good
teeth, clear fresh skin, a good vocabulary, and
essentially a blank slate behind him -- and he comes
out of a homeless shelter and is able to move up? Wow,
big surprise! Things like the appearance of teeth are
one of the small but important nuances that ocntribute
to overall impression, ultimately a bigger factor to
gatekeepers liek employers and aid dispensers than
most folks think.

The thing that Bitch|Lab / shag fund, where in his
Mission Statement he EXPLICITLY SAID he was ut to
disprove Ehrenreich -- I hadn't seen that before. The
guy is a piece of shit as far as I'm concerned. The
cadillac rims comment , when I looked back at it, I
was like, "Yeah, this guy is a dick."

I still have a little bit of a problem of this guy
using food stamps, but at least he admits he needed
them, so despite his otherwise right-wing
strive-and-succeed fairy tale, he seems to concede
some public supports are essential.
