On List. What is wrong with spin-off topics. Most of our really good conversations have come from spin-offs.

... to an authoritarian state of a species we do not have a name for. It is extremely dangerous to blur the reality by shouting "fascist." There is very little about the Bush Administration that resembles fascism. The _effect_ on us might be very similar, but the ultimate effect of cyanide and a bullet in the head is also the same, but one protects against those two dangers in quite different ways.
