Yup, and I certainly agree with that too. But! That's not in the book nor in any of his recent talks as far as I've been able to see.
So, he still seems to be pushing the peak oil + climate change = new Middle Ages theme for public consumption.
Indeed, even his cycling trip, 2007 pics (kunstler.com) are captioned with musings about how people with pick up trucks and air conditioning will fare once the oil's gone.
