Anyone know of a site that contains a comprehensive overview of the models Jobs revealed at MacWorld, eps. what their prices will be, release dates, and the machines' specs? I'm considering getting a MacBook soon.

To Doug's response about the new MacBook announcement: Apple's getting a reputation for phasing their stuff out right after folks buy into it. My iMac G5 (PowerPC) I bought just over a month before Apple released their Intel iMacs in 2005 -- something they did a half a year ahead of schedule, surprising everyone, leaving me with an already-older PowerPC model that was only a month old. (Though I still love it to death.) Then they did the thing with iPhones, where early adopters essentially were financially penalized only a few months later.

Having said that, man, Macs are more fun. Maybe I am guilty of the "branding" deceit and have been successful indoctrinated by Apple's marketing people. Like kids who prefer the same food in McDonald's wrappers that is put in plain brown wrappers. I sent that experiment to the list -- kids just liek the McD's logo on stuff. But I say, go for it, Julio.

"Just got an email announcement of them. Wow they're gorgeous. My poor MacBook - which I only got in November - looks so old and clunky now!"

"People here are tech savvy. I'm planning to abandon the Win-PC ship and buy a Mac for me for the first time in my life. The decision has been complicated today by Jobs announcement of a newer line of laptops."
