Where do you get this information from? A lot of ubergeeks are very impressed with Mac OS X, and none are impressed with Vista.
And what's wrong with technology that looks and feels good? I can't believe how ugly Windows is, as are most Windows machines. Is Apple the only tech company that can make beautiful things? The WSJ's Walter Mossberg, a big Mac fan, was impressed with Dell's latest iMac knockoff, but that's about it in the industrial design department. This is one thing that Kunstler is very right about - the ugliness of so much American product is really telling.

That's just not true anymore. In some categories, Macs are now cheaper than comparably equipped Windows machines.
