I suggest that that's a reasonable conclusion from his account of his own career and from the program, such as it is, laid out in The Audacity of Hope (to which title the proper response is de te fabula narratur -- i.e., he's talking about himself). One would not from either book expect him to be a leader of a faction, subgroup or class. The theme is throughout the overcoming of divisiveness -- with the strong implication that he's the one to do it. --CGE
