Very true. But neither group has any deference left toward educational "authority" -- and a good thing, too.
The working-class kids, like the elite kids, have a purely instrumental view of "education", and mostly think the profs are basically chumps. (Except for the kids who have the Mark of the Beast on their foreheads, and are going to go on to be profs themselves.)
